Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds
Minutes of the May 14, 2009 Meeting
Present: Mayor Driscoll, Raymond Vaillancourt and Thaddeus Buczko
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M.
The Salem Community Childcare – After school summer Camp requested assistance for their summer program. Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve $250 from the Discretionary Fund. The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.
A letter was received from Robert Hayes requesting assistance for funding the Salem Willows free concerts. This expense is considered part of the large grants for next year. Thaddeus Buczko made a motion to approve $1,800 from the Browne Fund. The motion was seconded by Raymond Vaillancourt and voted unanimously.
The Board received an application for general assistance and it will be forwarded to NSCAP for review.
The Make a Wish request was tabled until a response was received from the
Masons.
The Board tabled the request from SHS MCJROTC Adult ESL Classes.
The Salem Council on Aging submitted a request for medication expense reimbursements. Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve $548.81 from the Endicott Fund. The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.
Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 9, 2009 meeting. The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.
The Clerk will speak with the Guidance Dept. at Salem High School about the Kiwanis Scholarship.
The Read, Buffum, Smith Picnic is scheduled for June 20, 2009.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
